Ms. Meredith

Ms. Julia Meredith is originally from Illinois, and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, with a Bachelors of Science in Education.  She has taught in various settings ranging from 2nd grade to 8th grade language arts.  Ms. Meredith also spent several years teaching outdoor education, where the focus was on developing team building skills through hands-on and real life experiences.  In high school, Ms. Meredith participated in softball, marching band, concert band, and pep band.  She loved softball so much that she became an umpire for the state of Illinois at the high school level.  During the winter months, her interests are reading, watching sports, preferably football and hockey, and movies when she has the time.  However, as soon as the sunshine comes back, she's off to the beach and/or swimming pool.  When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
